About

Western Mass Roller Derby (WMRD) is dedicated to fostering the positive values of athletics, including sportsmanship, teamwork, philanthropy, and perseverance through the sport of roller derby. This includes building an inclusive community - one that promotes the empowerment of cisgender & transgender women, gender expansive, and non-binary skaters. WMRD strives to help individuals actualize their potential both on the track and off skates. We are a registered 501c3 nonprofit run for the skaters, by the skaters.

We practice at Interskate 91 South in Wilbraham, MA. Our usual practice schedule is Thursdays & Sundays 7:00 - 9:00pm and Rookie practice Tuesdays 8:00 - 9:30pm.If you are interested in learning more, transferring, dropping in to a practice, officiating or volunteering please contact us at [email protected] or on Facebook or Instagram.We run recruitment nights during the offseason to train new and inexperienced skaters and the next Rookie Night will be in June!
